Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Notulify ("we") collects, uses, stores, and protects your information when you use our app and website. By using Notulify, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Data we collect

  • Account data: your username and password (stored hashed, never in plain text).
  • Meeting content: audio/video files you record or upload, along with the generated transcripts and summaries.
  • Technical data: session info, timestamps, and usage metadata needed to run the service.

2. Google data (Google Calendar)

The Google Calendar integration is optional and only active if you connect it. When connected, we request the https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar.events scope to:

  • list events around the meeting time so you can pick the right one; and
  • attach the meeting summary to the event description you choose.

Your Google access tokens are stored encrypted and used only for the functions above. We do not read your entire calendar beyond what is needed for this feature, and you can disconnect at any time — doing so deletes your tokens from our systems.

Limited Use. Notulify's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

3. How we use data

  • Provide core functionality: transcription, speaker labeling, and meeting summaries.
  • Keep a meeting history so you can reopen them.
  • Maintain security, prevent abuse, and improve the service.

We do not sell your data, do not use it for advertising, and do not use your Google data to train general AI models.

4. Processing & third parties

Your audio is processed to produce transcripts and summaries via our processing infrastructure. We share data with service providers only as needed to operate features, and for no other purpose.

5. Retention & deletion

  • You can delete meetings at any time; this removes the audio, transcript, and summary.
  • Disconnecting Google Calendar removes your OAuth tokens from our systems.
  • For full account deletion, contact us using the details below.

6. Security

We apply reasonable safeguards: encrypted connections (TLS), hashed passwords (PBKDF2), and encrypted Google tokens. No system is entirely risk-free, but we work to protect your data.

7. Your rights

You may access, update, or delete your data, and revoke Google access at any time. For data requests, contact us.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated effective date on this page.
